N-Dubz Can You Hear Me?

N-dubz have had it hard over the years growing up, but despite whats happened they have always stuck together. From the young age N-dubz have been good friends. With Dappy and Tulisa being cousins.

Whilst starting out on the journey to where they are now one of the biggest bands in the UK.They have had Dappy's dad Bryon Contostavlos (mostly known as"uncle B") as their manager, withought him they say they wouldn't of made it big. Releasing their first ever single "You Better Not Waste My Time" (self-released) in 2006. The group's first album, Uncle B, was released on 17 November 2008. Unfortunatley Dappy's dad (uncle B) died and their song " Papa Can You Hear Me" was a tribute to him.

Uncle B has been a huge impact on the bands life, he kept them together. Steered them from trouble as much as he could. "Papa Can You Hear Me" was a great single and really showed the bands personality through.

The band originally wanted to call their first album " Against All Odds" but with dappy's dad passing away they called it "uncle B". Their second album was called "Against All Odds" with such songs as"Shoulda Put Something On","Say It's Over", "Playing With Fire Ft Mr Hudson".

The group filmed a 6 part documentary, "Being... N-Dubz". The series is sponsored by Adidas Originals and premiered on 21 June 2010 on 4Music. The show was a great hit and inspired many fans. November29th N-dubz released their new album called "Love.Live.Live.Life", N-dubz have decided to try to conquer America in 2011.

I wish them great luck for 2011 I hope it will be a big year for this trio.

The XX

The XX have sprunng into popuraity over since the summer, and it's good news that the charts finally have a new sound. Releasing their new song "VCR" the trio has really started to make their mark in the charts. I've been a fan of The XX since I first heard them in 2009 with their first single " Crystalised" which was released early August.

Carrying on with their distinctive sound, "VCR" is a little more up beat than their usual, but personally I think it is great, the way the beat makes you want to be there with them singing that song.I think it is amazing and I love to chill out to The XX in the evening.

According to Wikipedia The XX were seen on the famous Eastenders E20 programme their cover of "Teardrops" was used in the show. "Teardrops" is avaliable to download on their Myspace page.

Everyone has been talking about how great their ablum "xx" has been, so it's no suprise they won the Barcalycard mercury prize this September. Unfortunatley I'm only 12 so the amount of concerts that I can go too are restricted by parents and money! :(

I did manage to go to Guilfest this year with my friends, unfortunatley they were not there but I did manage to see such bands as Just Jack , Tinnie Tempah and ( My favourite band ) the amazing N-dubz! :D I guess N-dubz are not in the same league as The XX.. or have the same following! :)
